[MET Goals Tutorial] 3 Steps to Connect HealthKit and Start Tracking
Keywords: MET Goals HealthKit, Data Sync, Apple Health, Beginner Guide
The magic of MET Goals lies in its seamless integration with your Apple Watch and iPhone data. Here is the setup guide.
Step 1: Initial Launch & Permissions
When you open the app for the first time, you'll see a Health Access request. Make sure to tap "Turn On All".
- Read Access: We need to read "Workouts" and "Active Energy" to calculate METs.
- Write Access: If you log a workout in MET Goals, we sync it back to Apple Health.
Step 2: Check Data Sources
If data isn't showing up:
- Open the system Health app on your iPhone.
- Tap your profile icon -> Apps -> MET Goals.
- Ensure all toggles are green.
Step 3: Auto-Sync
Once set, you don't need to do anything.
- Record a run with your Apple Watch's "Workout" app, and MET Goals grabs it in the background.
- Open MET Goals, and you'll see your daily ring updated based on that run's intensity.
It's that simple. Let data work for you, not the other way around.
