Pet Sitter Service Report Template: 8 Things to Include

Keywords: pet sitter report template, pet sitting report card, dog walker report, pet sitting visit notes, pet sitter app

Owners who are away want one thing: proof that their pet is fine. A short, consistent report after every visit is the cheapest way to earn trust, tips and rebookings. Here is what to put in it.

The 8 things to include

  1. Arrival and departure time. It shows you stayed the whole visit.
  2. Food and water. What you gave, how much was eaten, and whether the water was refreshed.
  3. Potty. Pee and poop, and anything unusual (soft stool, blood, straining).
  4. Activity and route. Length of the walk or play, and where you went.
  5. Mood and behavior. Relaxed, anxious, hiding, clingy. This is what owners care about most.
  6. Medication. What was given and when, if applicable.
  7. A photo or two. A happy dog or a cat on the windowsill. It is the part clients share with friends.
  8. Anything to flag. A loose tooth, a scratch, a broken gate, low food stock.

Why GPS and photos matter

"Did you really walk my dog?" is a real question for dog walkers. A map of the route and a photo answer it without an argument. For billing, distance and duration also make it easy to justify what you charge.

Doing it without typing it all out

PetSitter Pro is a client manager for professional pet sitters and dog walkers:

  • GPS service tracking: one tap starts route recording, with check-in and check-out and automatic distance and duration.
  • Service reports with a GPS map and photos, sent to the owner.
  • Client CRM: temperament, vet info, medication and diet notes, gate codes and feeding instructions.
  • Scheduling and navigation: a visual calendar, and one-tap directions to the next client.
  • Simple finances: income, expenses, who has paid and who is pending, in multiple currencies.
  • Privacy first: client data is stored on your device.

The core app is free, and the Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase.
