Screen Reading Fatigue? How FLine's Visual Optimization Protects Your Eyes

As writers or coders, we often stare at screens for over 8 hours a day. "Dry, sore eyes, difficulty focusing" have become occupational hazards.
Besides eye drops, using tools to improve the visual environment is key. Let's see how FLine acts as a "digital eye mask."
Why Screens Hurt Eyes
- High Contrast Glare: Pure black text on pure white backgrounds creates excessive contrast, straining the retina over time.
- Frequent Re-focusing: Eyes jumping rapidly across screen areas keep the ciliary muscles in constant tension.
FLine's Eye-Protection Strategy
1. Reducing Local Contrast
FLine's "reading line" uses translucent, soft tones (pale yellow, light green). When overlaying text, it effectively lowers background brightness in that area, reducing harsh white glare.
2. Guiding Smooth Eye Movement
Crucially, without a guide, eye movement is jerky (Saccades), which is tiring. With FLine, eye movement becomes Smooth Pursuit. This is a much lower-effort mode, significantly reducing eye muscle fatigue.
3. Focus Mask
In Mask Mode, non-reading areas are dimmed. This reduces total light intake and keeps pupils in a stable state, reducing the need for constant adjustment.
Eye Care Tip
When using FLine, follow the 20-20-20 Rule: Every 20 minutes of reading, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
Protecting your eyes is protecting your productivity.
