Quick answer

What the Clicks Communicator is
Clicks made its name with keyboard cases for iPhone. At CES 2026 it announced its first phone: a 4.03-inch AMOLED screen, a physical QWERTY keyboard, a 4,450mAh battery, 256GB storage with microSD, and a customized Android 16. It's pitched as a messaging-first second phone.

Why people are waiting for it
Screens got bigger and thumbs got tired. On a slab phone the keyboard covers half the page, links at the top are out of reach, and one-handed use is a stretch. A keyboard phone separates input from display, so your thumbs stay at the bottom.
What to do while you wait
1. Work out what you really want. Is it the physical click, or the thumbs-at-the-bottom workflow? If it's the workflow, much of it is available on your iPhone today.
2. Build the muscle memory early. QWERTY Browser is an iPhone browser with a QWERTY keyboard always docked under the page:
- Hold J and every link gets a letter code. Type it to click, with no reaching for the top of the screen.
- Swipe the keys to scroll. Pointer mode turns the keyboard into a trackpad.
- Hold a letter A–Z to open a bookmark or go back, open a tab, or find on page.
- No pop-up keyboard covering the page when you focus a field.
It's an on-screen keyboard, not a physical one, and it doesn't replace the Communicator. What it does is let you find out, for $2.99 and months before delivery, whether keyboard-first life suits you. If it does, you'll be more confident about the $499. If it doesn't, you still have time to cancel.
